Degree (Extraordinary Award) and PhD (Extraordinary Award) in Law from the University of A Coruña. Master’s in European Union Studies and Visiting Scholar in the International Tax Program of Harvard Law School and Visiting Researcher at the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation of Amsterdam.

Taxation Law: tax procedures and business taxation.

Award from the Centre of Financial Studies (1998 and 2001).
Member of the Advisory Committee appointed by Spain as “personalidad independiente” (Community arbitrator) for the purposes of Convention 90/436/EEC on the elimination of double taxation in connection with the adjustment of profits of associated companies.
Member of the Committee of Experts of the Institute of Fiscal Studies (Ministry of Finance) on the “Análisis del sistema tributario español a la luz de las libertades comunitarias” (2006 and 2007).
Member of the Committee of Experts of the Institute of Fiscal Studies (Ministry of Finance) on “Las posibilidades de armonización del impuesto sobre sociedades en la UE” (2007, 2008 and 2009).
